About the band:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok there's not really a "band" in the traditional sense. It's me and my friend Jesse. I went down to NC to visit him and his wife (went to high school with the two of them) and he's got this recording studio set up in his house and he's like "So, you wanna record something?" and I'm like "okay." True story.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So I'm playing guitar and singing and tambouringing and Jesse's on bass, lead guitar, backup vocals, keys, and other shit. And Jesse just made up all the stuff he played so I'd credit him as co-writer as well as producer. All I did put words on top of my three favorite chords.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But we slapped a name on the project and Bed of Socks was born. When I was on the tour bus from Melbourne to Adelaide (and I mean TOUR bus -- no, I wasn't on "tour" in Australia, I was touring Australia. Wait, now I'm confused) I started thinking up names for the members of this imaginary band. But then I took a nap. All I can remember now was that the drummer's name was Apollo "Paulie" Otway. He's the guy on the bottom right of the picture.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, not really. I don't remember who the guy is on the bottom right of the picture. The picture has nothing to do with the band whatsover except that I think it captures the band's essence. Especially the upside-down bird over my head. And the guy on the bottom right looks like a drummer, doesn't he? I figure the chic's on bass, the guy on the left is keyboards and the guy next to me is lead guitar. See? I've got it all worked out. And I had names made up for all these people at one point, too.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So yeah, I spend a little time in my head.
I remember all those wonderful introductions you gave Blitz...before starting alot of our shows....how are you? Your band sounds great! Where do you play? ~Amy
Thank you,we'll be very happy to add your band. Music sounds good too. If you get a chance check us out sometime when we do a show. Good luck with your project.
