Bedtime for Charlie is currently a four-piece punk rock combo based in Rome, Italy. Gaining their influences from the american melodic hardcore scene and from such bands as NOFX, Lagwagon, Good Riddance, No Use for a Name and Bad Religion, Giacomo (bass and vocals) and Domenico (drums) started the band in their early teens back in 2001,along with other young friends. The rough and immature sound of the beginnings went on gaining consistance with time, untill the line up found it's stability in 2005 with the entry of Alessio(guitar),intersecting guitar riffs with former member and guitarist Sandro;the band records an EP with six songs, “Dog Tricks”, which will actually never see the light of day, and starts digging its way through the crowded and variegated italian punk-hardcore scene.2007 is the year of “Winning is for Losers”, the first official record which exports the band out of its country, only with the help of internet and of word spreading: 14 tracks that compose the album are in fact totally self recorded and self produced. The record is amazingly appreciated in the underground scene, and the band leaves shortly after for a long european tour with town mates Jet Market, which will touch such countries as Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Germany, France, Holland and the UK. Unfortunately, not long before the tour, guitarist Sandro decides to quit the band, due to personal reasons, leaving the line up as three piece. In late 2008 Bedtime for Charlie record their second official studio album, “It ain't about the Music”; this record is highly more mature than the previous, which comes along with a killer production and songwriting. The record is released on February 6th 2009 by the Italian indie label Wynona Records in Europe, and by the newly born Milestone Records in Japan. Shortly after the release the band leaves for a long tour, which touches once again Eastern European countries such as Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, and just one week later flies over to Japan, once again along with the mates in Jet Market. During the summer of 2009 Alex, drummer and singer of Jet Market, joins in on the second guitar, making Bedtime a four piece again. The new line up leaves for an European tour in September and starts recording some new material, which is soon to be released. Stay tuned for more news from the Bedtime world! Gabba gabba hey!

Ritorna il concorso che ha portato alla ribalta alcune delle band di punta della scena indipendente italiana, dagli anni ’90 a oggi! Soniche Avventure, la storica compilation della Fridge Records che ha fatto conoscere al pubblico nomi come Scisma, Julie’s Haircut, Verdena, A Toys Orchestra è oggi un contest che si propone nuovamente di dare visibilità a nuove band e artisti emergenti. Fra tutti i demo inviati saranno selezionati 18 finalisti, i quali si esibiranno nel corso di 6 serate, in primavera, all’Init di Roma. Tutti i 18 finalisti saranno comunque inseriti, con i loro brani originali, nella compilation di Soniche Avventure 2010! Ogni serata vedrà la partecipazione di una band o di un artista affermato nella scena indipendente italiana, che dividerà il palco con le band emergenti. Una giuria di qualità decreterà, fra i 18 finalisti, un vincitore, il quale si aggiudicherà la produzione, distribuzione e promozione di un album.
