CONTROL ROOM.... With Brazilian Cherry floors and ceilings, this impressive room has a direct view into the Piano room, iso-booth, and drum room through the huge window. The reclining leather sofa allows producers and visitors to listen in comfort, and engineers will appreciate the Aeron® chairs during long those sessions... The room features Digidesign’s new C24 control surface and a palette of over 50 mic preamps to choose from. The preamps and most outboard gear are housed in a custom-built movable sidecar, designed to be seen and accessed without leaving “the sweet spot.”.. Engineers can bring their own monitors or choose between vintage NS-10’s, Genelec 1031A’s or Genelec’s new 8200 DSP system with GLM software and Autocal. This new 5.1 setup controls levels, delay, phase, and EQ to optimize the sound for multiple listening positions. Visual monitoring is accomplished through two 23” Apple Cinema monitors and a huge 46” Samsung LCD... Tracking and mixing are enhanced by the flexibility of the Audio Accessories patchbays, which enable seamless integration of guest gear. With almost 500 patch points, connections can be quickly made to the preamps, 19 channels of compression, and 15 channels of EQ that are available. Effects are handled through the TC Electronics System 6000 hardware and a plethora of today’s best plug-ins. Finally, the mix can be polished through the Folcrom Summing Buss. This device combines the best of digital and analog worlds, yielding mixes that sound open, clear and punchier, like an expensive analog console, yet allowing the repeatability of a DAW. PIANO ROOM.... This room is home to an exquisite 7’ 4” Yamaha C7 FII Grand piano. Acoustics are enhanced by the Brazilian Cherry Floors and ceiling trim as well as movable diffusers, custom-made from curly cherry and birch. DRUM ROOM.... In order to achieve big drums sounds, this room utilizes two walls of movable diffusers, custom-made from curly cherry and birch, and two walls of stone. A six-piece Pearl Reference series drum kit is available and complimented by a complete selection of cymbals and hardware. AMP CLOSET.... The 4’ X 4' fortress features multiple layers of drywall and sound proofing to provide isolation while cranking up a powerful amp. Players can choose between facing their amp toward absorptive or reflective walls. Also, Hi-Z and speaker level interfaces enable the guitarist to use the closet from three different rooms. ISO-BOOTH.... Glass doors and side windows make this room an ideal location for scratch vocals during a session. Vocalists will feel like they’re in the rooms with the players! THEATER.... For large sessions, this optional 18’ X 28’ room includes 16 mic inputs and connections for headphones and amps. The 1954 Hammond C2 has been upgraded with a percussion unit and utilizes a pristine 1954 Leslie 122. The theater has reclining seating for 8, with Runco projector, 110” screen and 5.1 Meridian Sound. It is available upon request. ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENT ROOM.... With brick floors, redwood walls and stained-glass ceiling, this room is ideal for guitar, harp and other acoustic instruments. Two glass doors provide a direct view of the engineer at the console. Also, the room is equipped with 8 tie-lines and a Digi 002 setup for editing and overdub work. ADDITIONAL RECORDING AREAS.... A total of 20 inputs are available in the offices and garage areas. The spacious garage area also provides easy access and storage for cartage. CONNECTIVITY.... The goal of the studio is sonic excellence. To accomplish this, there are a total of 96 mic inputs throughout the studio utilizing Mogami cabling and Switchcraft connectors. Tech power is available in the main rooms, and Furman Balanced Power units power the control room and gear. -

Nestled in the scenic hills just outside Brentwood, Tennessee is “Beech Creek Studios,” the newly completed recording facility of Cedarmont Music. This world-class studio combines the best of today’s technology with a dazzling array of high-end and vintage gear. The rooms were designed by the legendary Chris Huston, Grammy Award winning producer and engineer for Led Zeppelin, The Who, War, The Rascals, and a host of others. His design credits include The Sound Kitchen, ELM South, Platinum Lab, Enterprise, and Polygram Records as well as private studios for Tom Petty, Steve Wariner, Michael McDonald and Ozzy Osbourne. Construction was handled by industry veteran, Dino Elefante. With successful roots as a producer (St. Elmo’s Fire, Kansas, Petra, Guardian) and studio owner (The Sound Kitchen and Pakaderm Studios), Dino helped mold the facility for sonic excellence, comfort, and creative atmosphere. Dino’s experience as a luxury home builder is evident in the tasteful use of curly cherry millwork, Lutron lighting, and stone accents throughout the studio. In addition to the spacious control room, there are two dedicated tracking rooms, an amp closet, iso-booth, and four other recording areas available.

It's officially been over ten years now since filming wrapped up on the first volume of the stunt/prank/comedy project Digested Puddle. Although the majority of the footage is still collecting dust in a dank basement, it will all eventually see the light of day in a properly edited full-length version.
You can check out the page for a new ten minute sampler that has just been embedded onto the profile, or take a look at the small collection of clips directly on the YouTube page: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrrbhDMJyuA - A new sampler will be available within a few weeks. - Starlume2 years ago
