   About Bee Gees

Odessa (Deluxe Edition)
“ODESSA's all-embracing theme is the Bee Gees' boundless creativity. Simple acoustic songs mix with orchestral overtures; humble tales of love and friendship sit alongside complex stories of fantasy and the forgotten. The end result is a collection that grows richer with every play.”
- from new liner notes by Andrew Sandoval

Originally released as a 2-LP set in 1969, ODESSA marked an early and extraordinary creative peak in the legendary career of the Brothers Gibb - Barry, Maurice and Robin. Their only double studio album, the Bee Gees' pop masterpiece drew comparisons to the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in its depth, vision and spectacular production. Reprise revisits this classic work on the occasion of its 40th anniversary with a three-disc ODESSA: DELUXE EDITION, featuring the original stereo and mono mixes as well as a full disc of previously unreleased material. The set, a milestone in the ongoing restoration of the Bee Gees historic catalog, is presented in packaging that reproduces the '69 release's lavish red-flocked cover.

ADDITIONAL BEE GEES TITLES

The Bee Gees' phenomenal success in the 1970s often obscures the fact that by the time the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack redefined R&B dance music, the trio already had more than ten albums and a string of worldwide hits under their belts.

One of the best-selling and influential groups in popular music, The Bee Gees’ career spanned five decades, five GRAMMYs and eight platinum albums – but until now, the group’s extraordinary catalog has never been upgraded. The revitalization of these three early masterpieces marks the first time the group has opened their extensive tape vaults for archival mining, allowing a full disc of rarities and previously unreleased tracks to be added on to each album. On Bees Gees’ 1st, Horizontal and Idea, the musical genius of the Bee Gees now sound better than ever.

1ST (Expanded and Remastered)
Originally released in 1967, Bee Gees' 1st is a harmony-heavy, rock-flavored masterpiece that instantly put the group at the forefront of the wave of hit music coming out of the U.K. The album delivered a trio of Top 20 smashes: "To Love Somebody," "New York Mining Disaster 1941," and "Holiday." The first disc of this lavish expanded edition contains both mono and stereo versions of the original album. The second disc features 14 previously unreleased tracks, including alternate versions of most of the album cuts, plus the recording debuts of "Gilbert Green," "House Of Lords," "All Around The Clock," and other rarities.

HORIZONTAL (Expanded and Remastered)
1968's Horizontal boasts adventurous arrangements and production and features the signature hit "Massachusetts," a chart-topper in Britain that went to 11 in the U.S. Also features the standouts "World," "And The Sun Will Shine," "Harry Braff," and the psychedelic title track. The first disc of this lavish expanded edition contains both mono and stereo versions of the original album. The second disc features 13 rarities, including nine previously unreleased tracks, among them "Out Of Line" and "All My Christmases Came At Once," plus the seasonal medley "Silent Night/Hark The Herald Angels Sing."

IDEA (Expanded and Remastered)
Featuring a touch more rock and a bit less orchestra, 1968's Idea produced singles that cracked the U.S. Top 10: "I've Got To Get A Message To You" and "I Started A Joke." The first disc of this lavish expanded edition contains both mono and stereo versions of the original album. The second disc features alternate mixes of "Idea," "Kitty Can," and "Let There Be Love," the film songs "Chocolate Symphony" and "Gena's Theme," and many more rarities and previously unreleased picks, including "Another Cold And Windy Day," "Sitting In The Meadow," and two rare Coca-Cola commercials.

Greatest (Special Edition)
There's no “Jive Talkin'” here except for the Bee Gees chart-topping single, one of many legendary '70s-era classics from the Brothers Gibb on this bonus-packed, updated 2-CD reissue of their five-years-out-of-print hits compilation BEE GEES GREATEST.
The collection was first released in 1979 as a double LP, 20-track set that hit 1 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart. Rhino's remastered & expanded remaking of it features all that original greatness plus two previously unreleased tracks - including one song making its recording debut - and scorching new remixes of four immortal hits from Saturday Night Fever.

Hey guys! You are fabulous ... the songs you marked for many generations and even today are a tremendous success! I believe today the Bee Gees as a band that was much to my life ... the first song I heard and that made me become a big fan of you was that... "How Deep Is Your Love". I think the lyrics this song very nice ... from that day I was enjoying the many other successes to date and that you not stop listening ... like: Night Fever,To Love Somebody, Stayin Alive, Alone,I Started A Joke, For Whom The Bell Tolls...love all the songs without exception! The Bee Gees will be forever in my memory. Always remembered, never forgotten! I love too!
