   Beese’s's Blurbs
About me:
Beese’s Bar and Tea Gardens was founded in 1846 by Mrs Beese, who provided refreshments to the many travellers using the Conham Ferry, the captain of which was Mr Beese.

Beese’s is now run by Phil and Lindy Leahy, who are proud to be the custodians of part of Bristol’s history.

The Conham Ferry runs from Beese’s to the Hanham side of the river, and is the oldest river ferry crossing on the River Avon. We are delighted to carry on the tradition by operating the ferry during our opening hours.

Our fully licensed free house and tea gardens are available for private bookings, corporate events, birthdays, weddings and parties etc.

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone who enjoys a drink or a meal in pleasant riverside surroundings, all in the middle of Bristol. We have regular music events - in 2007 Beeses Music Club featured Gypie Mayo (ex-guitarist with Dr Feelgood and The Yardbirds) every Wednesday evening, and our beer festival featured seven acts over three days. We will have live music regularly in 2008, so check back here for details, or sign up for our mailing list at our website for more information.

Thanks for your excellent sound skills!
Beese's is a BLAST...I'm really looking forward to visiting again.

I'll try to get Richard Riley to drive next time so that I can drink more efficiently.
It will probably result in a violent struggle but I figure that since Richard can obviously play guitar with one hand tied behind his back, then it won't matter if its also set in a plaster cast...

Phil and Lindy,

Oh yes, I turn 41 on Sunday... I can feel my arteries hardening as I type.
The wedding is June 21st in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We're excited.
Thanks for the well wishes and lots of love from the Colonies!!!

Thanks for the add, and all the gigs too! Your venue is one of the best, and I know venues! Killer curry and the romance of the Avon...not to mention the put put put of the ferry. Also you inventory Tequila which is uncommon this side of the pond, and an Austrailian bartender to boot! The road goes on forever and the party never ends....... chuck

hello,
James heard back from Glasgow airport and they said they were not going to take him through to the next round. think he was a little disappointed. but he is meeting with the people from the Dome today and the people from the British Museum on thursday. he is in the final stages with both of them so i think the meeting is to discuss salaries. not sure which one he will choose he said he may have to flip a coin. and also legoland want to see him next tuesday so hopefully the lazy shit will be working in no time!! how are you both? hope that river has stayed down!!!
