Before the Bloodshed is a Violent Texas Metal act comprised of five veterans of the SA music scene. All being from previous bands of different styles, there seem to be no limits to their sound. Their influences range from the most extreme and eclectic types of metal, punk, hardcore, emo, rock, and alternative. Each song is fueled by catchy technical guitar riffs, melodic guitar harmonies, machine gun like double bass, brutal breakdowns, and aggressive-melodic vocals. Expect an intense crash-course in mayhem at their live shows where they will demonstrate their biggest strengths.
Before the Bloodshed was started by former members of Siklid (Gary) and Burn the Day (Rob "Buff"). It starts where both Buff and Gary began to lose hope in playing music when both of their former bands began disbanding. Devastated by their bands demise, the duo decided to team up and to give it one last shot. They began writing songs in late December of 2005.
Three songs later, they found a vocalist both versatile and talented to enough to meet the groups abilities. Joey formerly of Stranger was added to the fold, with his keen sense of melody and aggression. After many attempts of trying to find a guitarist, they finally found a 2nd guitar player suited for the job. Robert Howe formerly of Stout joined in late January after one jam session. Original bass player Chris left the band in April 2007 and his position was quickly filled by an anxious Dillon, adding a vicious stage presence and technical ability. This is Before the Bloodshed.
