The Beggars - music of Australia
Renee was a musical child born on the family farm in Esperance in Western Australia. When her family was forced off the farm by hard times her granddad went back to cattle droving on horseback. A trade he had learned as a boy in Queensland. Her dad went to work driving long haul trucks.
Quinton and Stuart both paid their dues over many years in touring bands traveling through the big cities, country towns and tiny outback communities. Often playing over 350 shows a year in all kinds of venues and sometimes when they were way off the beaten track setting their show up on the red earth its self.
They met when Renee auditioned for Quinton and Stuart’s cover band. Of course her crystal clear voice won her the gig. In 2006 the three of them decided to break away from the cover band and form The Beggars so they could play their own music.
Technical:
Acoustics permitting The Beggars perform gathered around one large diaphragm condenser microphone and if required aditional microphones or direct lines reinforce the instruments.
