Beguiled was formed back in the early nineties by Lead Guitarist Phil ‘PJ’ Jennings and singer/guitarist Phil White. The line up in terms of drummers and bass players has changed a few times over the years, but the current line up of comprising the two founder members, plus Nick Meyers on drums and Colin Green on bass has been together as a unit for around 4 years.
Beguiled is a hard rock band taking influences from classic bands such as Sabbath and Zeppelin, right through to more progressive acts like Pink Floyd and Dream Theater.
The band has recorded a number of original songs over the years the most recent being ‘Untold Stories’ a mini LP which comprises four great tracks. The bands music is predominantly written by Phil White and PJ who basically form the core song writing team in the band.
The band is based around Northants/Cambridgeshire and has gigged extensively in these areas plus Beds, Herts and Bucks, playing mainly pubs.
The band prides themselves on playing challenging songs with lots of dynamics, but are equally at home with straight no nonsense hard rock classics. The live show always has plenty of variety and keeps the listener guessing as to where they will take the music next.
Gentlemen, its been a long time! I always wondered what the mighty Beguiled were up to and here you are! I can't tell you how glad i am that the band are still rockin'. I have nothing but fantastic memories of that barn in Wyboston all those years ago (apart from that prat who complained about the noise waking his dog up!)
