Curtain Call was formed in the summer of 2006 as an experimental project started off by Hans Skills, an amateur keyboardist with an extensive classical background along with a passion for electronic music. Through word of mouth, Han's talents on the keys spread across the Vegas valley and he was contacted by Thomas Tarr, a local guitarist looking to form a band with the sounds of electronica, rock and a little techno. The two met at a jam session at Han's house and it was a hit. They both had a love for bands like Dream Theater and Linkin Park, as well as artists such as: Chick Corea and Steve Vai. Prominent drummer Jake Rumsfield was chosen out of over fifty applicants who auditioned for Curtain Call and was inducted into the band because of his precision "machine-like" drumming. Jake bought along his friend DJ Johnathan Smith, owner of JSus Records here in Vegas to be the official mixer and sound effects man for the band. Curtain Call is based in Las Vegas and hopes to evolve their sound to reach a wider, diverse audience.
