Behind Every Disaster began in 2007, but it had already been in the works ever since high school friends Brandon Brye and Dave Cunningham met each other. Brandon and Dave decided to put a band together after Brandon's return from Florida in early 2007. Brandon, who had been part of such bands as "All Left Out", "The Stomach Monkeys", and "The Flux Capacitor", finally felt at home playing music with his good friend Dave. Growing up, their taste in music was very similar. Listening to mostly punk rock music from the 90's. It wasn't until the Fall of 2007 when Brandon and Dave finally met the final member of the band.
Ed Palmer, who had met the two through friends at work, was a Chicago native and had moved to Wisconsin at a young age. He also grew up listening to the same punk rock and alternative rock as Brandon and Dave did. The three quickly became friends and started to play music with one another. It wasn't until the winter of '07 when things really started to get serious.
The guys started writing their own songs and started to play several shows at The Warehouse in their hometown of LaCrosse, WI. Eventually branching out to play shows in the Twin Cities and all over the midwest. By Spring of 2008 the band got together to recorded a live five track demo CD. This just fed their hunger for more shows and bigger shows. The year of 2008 finally came to a close and the band decided to head into the studio to record a ten track full length CD. B.E.D. came out in March of 2009. With tastes of early Blink-182, Say Anything and Brand New, B.E.D. is surely a CD worth picking up.
In Fall of 2009 Ed left the band for personal reason. Brandon and Dave plan to continue with the band and are now searching for new members. Stay tuned!
June 27th, 2009 Last nights show at Coconut Joes was amazing! We had such a blast! Even better we didnt suck! So good news is Coconut Joe's wants us back this fall when school starts. We had an amazing crowd reaction to our covers of Folsom Prison, Warning, Dont Trust Me, and Poker Face.
We are working on recording Poker Face now and hopefully will have it up on our myspace sometime this summer.
However, with only a month or two to prepare we wanna hear from our fans or anyway what cover songs you think we should do. Songs that you think would be rad with a touch of Behind Every Disaster. Send your ideas to us on our myspace.
May 19th, 2009 We are busier than ever! We are busy booking lots of shows for this summer. Including a few Battle of the Bands competitions and some radio and magazine interviews. If you would like to see us in your hometown send us a message or show up at our house and scream in Ed's face.
On June 1st, check us out at The Cavalier, where we will be doing a special acoustic performance for PRTV. Check it out if your in the La Crosse area or head over to www.PLANET-REVELS.com and view it there. (21+)
This twitter stuff is crazy! Follow us on twitter... well at least Brandon and Dave. Lots of pictures lots of random nonsense to follow.
Hey, dudes. Steve has the fliers for Saturday's show ready and available at the Warehouse. If someone wanted to pick some up and plaster them all over town, that would be sweet. I think if we all try extra hard to promote this one, it could be a pretty decent turnout. So tell EVERYONE you know. :D
