"Since they started playing together about five years ago, Mazankowski’s guitar skills have “improved tenfold,” while the xylophone-like glockenspiel has become the “weapon of choice” for Cassell." - Boaz Joseph [The Leader Newspaper]
"...they will make your heart feel happy and you will catch yourself humming their tunes for the rest of the day (if not longer)." - How I Killed The Scene
Matthew likes eating as much as he can in one mouthful, pin-drop silence while reading a book, washing his hands, buying a new pair of shoes, fruit baskets, blow-drying his hair, hiking in the rain, people who can wear shorts in the winter, listening to Yann Tiersen, fruit in his salad, staring at people in public, people who play the organ like they are crazy, Peter Sellers, the sound of hockey skates grinding the ice, street performers who play on train rides in Paris, writing a scrumptious tune and listening in to peoples conversations.
Matthew dislikes hangnails, dandruff, blowing his nose in public, cleaning his glasses, taking transit, hitting his head, text messaging, strands of hair in his food, long drives, rushing in the morning, hiking in the sun, swimming in public pools, cleaning his room, people with smelly feet lying on his bed, yelling in his ears, people coughing in his soup and stepping on slugs.
Grant likes collecting , belly button indents through peoples shirts, putting significance to common objects, toasted pumpernickel ab & j's, licorice tea by the teapotful, baby-powdering his face identical to a mime before bed time, cutting heels off shoes, bread dipped in balsamic vinegar, copious amounts of facial hair, singing in reverb settings, chewing on celery to fight mid-night binging, fixing things unorthodoxly, gazing upon people with red hair and green eyes, penny pinching, no-name creamsicles.. annnnnnnnnnnnnd being nude save the socks of course.
Grant dislikes mushrooms, people farting in the hot tub, tying his shoes, cats (they are so deceitful), family moving away, and disliking out-loud. annnnnnnnnd the dirt line around peoples tubs.
I’ve been a music journalist for more than 10 years. Over the years, many artists and managers have asked me what the best way to break into the European music market is.
Here are some things you can do:
Publish artist press releases, news, and tour dates to the CountryHome Forum on MySpace, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , CountryHome Forum is part of CountryHome, http://www.CountryHome.de , Germany's Premier Country Music Online Magazine. Everything you publish to the CountryHome Forum will be published in my weekly Newsletter which has over 80,000 readers.
Send me CDs and DVDs for review and set up an artist interview with me. All reviews and interviews will be submitted to the magazines I'm writing for. More information for which magazines I'm writing can be found at http://www.MySpace.com/ChristianLamitschka
Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
If you have more questions about the European music market or about any of the information I send to you today, please contact me at Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de too.
