BEHIND THE FACE born in 2005, the new band featuring guitarist Rob Duvall and drummer Rick Marino former original founding members of the progressive rock/metal band Ocean Seven. Once California's driving force from the mid 90's to 2001, now they soon will be taking even the mainstream audience by storm globally.
A versatile modern, melodic hard rock/metal act, featuring a balance of elements from familiar progressive rock/metal sounds from the past but also drawing on a wide array of styles and influences including experimental, industrial, hip-hop, some subtle reggae, heavy groove and modern rock. Musically, there goal is to be accessible to anyone, music that lock's you in right away and to craft rich and dramatic songs that will always keep any listener on their toes.
Focusing more on what they needed to do which was simply one word the 'music', not to pigeon-hole themselves into one style or genre was key. From the beginning, no talk of even a band name was ever mentioned and the concept surrounding BEHIND THE FACE is simple. There is none.
In December of 2008 BEHIND THE FACE completed there 5 song 'Preproduction Demo' which was recorded at Rick Marino's studio, "Sammy's Hideaway". Each song strongly stands on their own and will be heard in the future on there first album with a full-on production. This demo showcases the raw tracks of guitar and drums and will be used as a forum for the ’Singer Audition Demo’, marketing & promoting as well as being utilized as the catalyze to spread the word about BEHIND THE FACE.
Currently BEHIND THE FACE has commenced with the vocal auditions as they are searching diligently all across the US for the right singer. As soon as the news breaks on who they have landed you will be informed. BEHIND THE FACE is also doing a lot of PR work including interviews & reviews with several music publications as well as making various club appearances promoting there new demo all across the east coast. Hold on tight, keep all hands and arms in at all times and get ready for the ride of your life!
