Chi sono: The Belfry Center for Social and Cultural Activities is a collective whose mission is to foster democracy and build community through the arts, activism, media, and education.
Our vision is to provide space, resources, and encouragement to its core members, as well as providing an open space for groups and individuals from the wider community. Although many of our guiding principles, including direct democracy, a non-hierarchical structure, and consensus, can be described as anarchist, the Belfry Center is not by anarchists - for anarchists. We encourage the participation of as many members of as many communities as possible, but especially those whose pursuits are pro-democracy, pro-peace, queer friendly, anti-racist, anti-sexist, and generally friendly.
