30 Seconds To Mars [Belgian Echelon]

30 Seconds To Mars was founded in 1998 by two brothers : Shannon and Jared Leto. Later Matt Wachter joined them as bassist and keyboard player. The two first guitarists, Kevin Drake and Solon Bixler left the band due to issues related to touring. Tomo Milicevic, being a huge fan of the band, saw his dream come true when they chose him to be their regular guitarist. In 2007 Matt Wachter left the bad due to Family issues. The band is now officially formed by Jared Leto : vocals, guitar, programming Shannon Leto : drums Tomo Milicevic : guitar, keyboards, synths Tim Kelleher is a friend bassist who joins the band when they tour. Their first self-titled album, produced by Bob Ezrin, was released in 2002. With the release of this project, sometimes called “Welcome to the Universe”, they played over 300 shows and eventually began writing new material along the way. Their second album, A Beautiful Lie, was produced by Josh Abraham, whose producing credits also includes Velvet Revolver and Linkin Park and was released in 2005. A Beautiful Lie has gone Platinum with several successful singles : Attack, The Kill, From Yesterday and A Beautiful Lie, followed by imaginative videos, directed by the well known Bartholomew Cubbins. Their 3rd album, This Is War, produced by Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode,… ) should be out before the end of 2009 . ************************************************************************** 30 Seconds To Mars werd in 1998 opgericht door de twee broers, Shannon en Jared Leto. Later voegde Matt Wachter zich bij de band als bassist/keyboard player. De eerste twee gitaristen, Kevin Drake en Solon Bixler, verlieten na enige tijd de band omwille van het toeren. Tomo Milicevic, die een grote fan was van de band, zag zijn droom uitkomen, toen hij in de groep werd opgenomen als gitarist. In 2007 verliet Matt Wachter de band om familiale redenen. De band wordt officieel gevormd door : Jared Leto : zang, gitaar, programmatie Shannon Leto : drums Tomo Milicevic : gitaar, keyboards, synths Tim Kelleher is een goede vriend & bassist die met hen meegaat op tournee. Hun eerste self-titled album, geproduceerd door Bob Ezrin, kwam uit in 2002. Met dit project “Welcome to the Universe” speelden ze meer dan 300 shows en begonnen uiteindelijk met het schrijven van nieuw materiaal. Hun tweede cd, A Beautiful Lie, werd geproduceerd door Josh Abraham (gekend van o.m. Velvet Revolver en Linkin Park) en kwam uit in 2005. A Beautiful Lie ging Platinum met verschillende succesvolle singles : Attack, The Kill, From Yesterday en A Beautiful Lie, waarbij prachtige videoclips werden gemaakt, met als regisseur de befaamde Bartholomew Cubbins. Les deux premiers guitaristes, Kevin Drake et Solon Bixler, ont quité le groupe après quelque temps à cause des tournées. Tomo Milicevic, étant un grand admirateur du groupe, a pû réaliser son rève au moment où 30 Seconds To Mars l’a invité à devenir leur guitariste régulier. En 2007 Matt Wachter a quité le groupe pour des raisons familiales. Le groupe est donc officiellement formé par : Jared Leto : vocales, guitare, programmation Shannon Leto : batterie Tomo Milicevic : guitare, clavier, synthé. Tim Kelleher, étant ami et bassiste les accompagne pendant la tournée. Leur premier album – le self-titled, produit par Bob Ezrin, a été lancé en 2002. Avec ce projet “Welcome to the Universe” ils ont joué plus de 300 shows et c’était à cette époque là qu’ils ont commencé à écrire de nouveau titres. Leur deuxième album, A Beautiful Lie, produit par Josh Abraham (connu entre autre de : Velvet Revolver et Linkin Park) a été réalisé en 2005. A Beautiful Lie leur a donné un disque de Platinum, avec tant de singles couronnés de succès : Attack, The Kill, From Yesterday et A Beautiful Lie, toutes accompagnés de merveilleux videoclips, réalisés par Bartholomew Cubbins, très connu… Nous attendons leur troisième album, This is War, réalisé par Flood (U2, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode,…) avant fin 2009.
