elephants on acid stampeding off a cliff at a million miles an hour while reading poetry.....or something close to that....
"It seemed to be only seconds into the first song when all of a sudden everybody from the bar and surrounding area was in front of the stage jumping around like toddlers on a sugar high. Some convincing rock fused with some witty hip-hop verses and undeniable funk made two feet in front of that stage the place to be in Brooklyn that night."
-Greg Dybec; QuietColor.com
“Listeners will be drawn to the band’s high-energy fusion of savage rock, hypnotic hip-hop, and tantalizing funk. There’s nothing quiet about this band, and that’s a good thing, since you’ll want to hear what they have to say…”
-Cassaundra Baber; The Utica Observer-Dispatch
"Belikos is a much needed blend of kick ass and hell yeah!! Belikos is a smack of rich, raw, rare talent that comes around once a decade. They are like a rock tsunami, that picked up the village of hip-hop and smashed the whole damn thing on you."
-Adam Rey from Ann Arbor’s 107.1 WQKL
"Belikos is gifted with the power to entertain. No matter where they are, they bring life to the scene. I have seen them turn the girls standing, arms crossed and doubtful, into the girls dancing on the tables by the end of the night. With their captivating charisma and a beat that won't quit, they are one of the most refreshing acts that I have seen in a long time."
-Eric Ashmont, "Shmonty" from 92.7 / 96.9 WRRV, The New Rock Alternative
When the Belikos family takes the stage they can make clergy
give the devil a chance and good kids dance like dosed up
sex addicts. The brothers of the House of Belikos become a
shirtless, chaotic swirl of motion as they lock in and the
music takes off. Mo and Aaron crash through the crowd
and around the stage rhyming, singing and screaming to give
sin a proper platform. The Hampton brothers kill as Ethan
wrings soul and melody from his lungs and guitar while his
brother Justin rides his drum kit with single-minded
obedience to the groove. On the bottom and dancing among the
madness is Keith Reed who commands feet, hips and arms to
move on the dance floor to the undeniable force of his
battle scarred bass.
Hey guys I am missing you. I hear big things are possibly brewing from big Ed. Keep up the good work and I look forward to hearing some new music soon.
Also I am trying to dock some vacation time to get out to the East Coast and catch some shows.
Hey Belikos, we hope you can make it out The Magic Bag, Friday June 12th. As it will be our most wonderful show of the summer and it sure would be swell if you could have a frothy beverage with us :-)
