Inspired and influened
by bands from the 60's to modern day. I take no specific direction apart from that which I deem worthwhile, and therefore cannot really be placed in a particular genre and would rather never be placed into a "genre". Us Ben's we're UNIQUE, because we are not graduates and our Studio consists of a Mac, a sound card, monitors, headphones and a keyboard. Read it and weep, you can work as a music producer on a budget of £3K without qualifications. So get out there, make amazing music and just do it!!!!
Sounds Like
Radiohead,
Muse,
Depeche Mode,
Massive Attack,
Nine Inch Nails,
The Cure,
Sigur Ros,
Pink Floyd,
Things have been picking up a lot since the start of summer. Somehow word spread about my work and I landed work with a TV company. I produced two songs one of which was used for a charity event in Trafalgar square and another for John Lobb Shoes, from there I began producing music for Swarovski and the New York, Paris and London Fashion shows. The video for which can be seen at :http://www.swarovskisparkles.tv/video/fashion/spring-summer-09/new-york/new-york-highlights-ss09/.
I am now collaborating with a Hip Hop Artist called 'Sonny Dios' on a number of remixes and fresh material
Anyhow I used to go by the name 'DARE' but nowadays I'm collaborating with Ben Jeffes, under an alternate alias, so we'll be starting a new band... Anyone musicians interested in playing with us live get in touch!!!
My latest tracks span all genres (literally), I was compared with Trent Reznor (NIN) in various reviews but now my music is taking more influence from the re-birth of Trip-hop and similar genres, expect the production to be "different" to say the least.
First off let me thank you for still remaining on our friends list - just by doing so you are showing us massive support :)
Secondly let me apologise about the slightly impersonal nature of this message but we have sooo many great friends to get round its very difficult to tailor it to you the individual so I hope you will forgive us just this one time ;)
The reason I am messaging you is that we are really happy to announce that our Bad Days CD is now available for pre-order :)
Simply head on over to www.kingprawnrecords.co.uk/store.html and order your copy today - be the first to get hold of the early Limited Edition physical interactive CD that also includes bonus material such as the Bad Days music video :)
Your Bad Days EP will be shipped on the release date of Monday 29th June.
We are hoping to sell plenty of these which will prove to a top tour agent we have lined up that the fanbase exists for a big tour including the US so please tell all your friends also :)
If you have already ordered a copy then thank you so much!!
We really really appreciate your continued support :)

A big thanks to LUCKY 7, JOHNNY FERGUSON and OSSY, our November guests... and ALL of you who made it down on the night once again... the music was top drawer all night from start to finish....
DECEMBER only means one thing....
KALEIDAsexMAS PARTY... and with it being xmas we have a nice little audible treat for each of you in the form of a very special mix from our December guest PACO BLACK....
We are also very pleased to have NIK MUZKA playing a rare mix of all things techno on the night too... Nik has been a main player in the Belfast music scene for almost a decade, sharpening his teeth at the infamous ARTS COLLEGE before moving on to run many successful solo projects. During the day nik can be found behind the counter at Mixmaster Records and teaching at Sonic Dj Academy. Nik makes, plays, sells and teaches music. MUSIC IS HIS LIFE...
THE 4th LOOP - LiVE will also play on the night... Made up of STEVE LAW and KATRINA O'KANE (mar'08 guest) were really looking forward to having our very first fully live set played at the night. Their strict policy of 'just loops, no tracks' is something that we here at Kaleida HQ really can't wait to witness.... BRING ON THE RAYVE!
