    Belle Vue press Vol. IX
Arrived at its ninth edition of Belle Vue Press dedicate 56 full groovy coloured pages to the 60’s psychedelic era and beyond! Greece, May 2009 – Belle Vue, oldest gang in the mod / 60s Greek scene, present its ninth edition of Belle Vue Press, this year dedicated to the 60’s psychedelic era. Straight away the reader is overwhelmed by the psychedelic wave through the exceptional cover, result of the prolific collaboration of two emerging Greek artists: Ms Geanie, innovative digital artist strongly influenced by 60’s culture, and Sakis, one among the best graphic mod designer. 'Psychedelic' - coined from the Greek words for "soul," ???? (psyche), and "manifest," d???? (delos) - era is unveiled through the words, music, and figurative arts of some influential psychedelic artists. The words of “Traffic Sound”, glorious Peruvian band, Lewis Caroll, British psych writer of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland”, Trummor & Orgel, upcoming psych-pop Swedish duo, few words of the Greek 60's psychedelic scene, Rob Bailey, from New Untouchables – Londoner modernist, Mucha, most probably the first psych painter from the previous century, and Ms Geanie comics will be guiding you through the 56 colourful pages. This edition as well covers news about sixties/mod culture in the 21st century, reviews and visual of last year Belle Vue events, including but not limited to, such as “Belle Vue Weekender 4”, “Athenaeum Cave” starring The Jaybirds, “The Modernground Express” starring The Mojomatics, and “Stop The Clock”, winter version of Belle Vue Weekender. The fourth release of “Belle Vue 45's Series" will be presented along with the magazine, starring Swedish Psych Pop duo “Trummor & Orgel”, playing cover and originals. On ‘Belle’ side “Fading” a prog Hammond destroyed and on ‘Vue’ side a la popcorn drums sounds introduction in “Casino” and their own G. Fame’s cover, “Somebody Stole My Thunder”.
Heaven is not so far, babe!

About me:

Belle Vue is a gang with common denominator the sixties with whatever they cart with them. Its activity begins sometime in 2001, primarily, by the release of Belle Vue Press. The first issues in their 32 black & white pages, used to include CD or poster and, thereafter, in their 56, 64 or 88 pages, colorful any longer, bring as free vinyls playing strictly on 45 rpm. We are in 2006, the time that the infant label Belle Vue 45's Series starts making productions, releasing bands like the Thessalonian Garage Screamers The Frantic V, the Athenian Hammond Groovers The Hipstairs, the Belgian Beatsters The Gonks and the Psych - Pop Swedes Trummor & Orgel.
Their love for music, waisted three-button suits, Chelsea boots, eye-liner, mini skirts, modern architecture, hi-tech design, op art, poetry, vintage vehicles and generally the mod-sixties culture, but even more, the idea that the hoot can go far made them love to share it with others! It was what pushed them to mount events, parties and weekenders, with most important the one that takes place in Platamonas, during the first days of June, being hopeful to give something fresh to the country's nightlife - style. Frequently, under its umbrella you may meet theater teams, Go Go Dancers even visual artists etc!
If you ever find yourself at a party of theirs, you'll have the chance to enjoy jingles from Club and Rare Soul, Popcorn ballads, strong RnB, Mod Jazz, sounds of American ghettos and Jamaica to Garage, Freakbeat, Frat Rock, sophisticated Punk, chilly Pop 'n Psychedelia for your dancing or relaxing delight.
