"The Bellevegas Band" is a new sound being introduced in the Murfreesboro/Nashville TN area. The group begun forming when lead singer/songwriter Nate Bernardini joined forces with his brother Paul in 2001 as an acoustic duo. They released their first acoustic CD titled "Inside the Mind of Nate Bernardini" in 2003. In 2005, a second album was recorded titled "Bellevegas" with hand percussionist Bobby Jones. The year following the CD's release party, they became increasingly popular in the Belleville, IL and St. Louis area. "The Bellevegas Band" has since been booked at several music venues, bars, and colleges in the Midwest. They were also fortunate enough to win "SIUE's Battle of the Bands" in 2006. Nate, along with his brother Paul however, have since left the St. Louis area to peruse their education. They are now staring new in Murfreesboro Tennessee. Since they have moved, Luke Hill, a very talented keyboardist and music major at MTSU, has joined forces with the Bellevegas Band to add a wonderful addition to the sound. Close friend, and hand percussionist, Nate Donahue, has now replaced Bobby Jones, who still resides in St. Louis and performs with the band whenever they travel back home. Paul contributes to the sound as a skilled solo guitarist who won state (IL) for his workmanship while in jazz band in 2006. Nate, being the visionary of their sound, writes thought-provoking lyrics to complement the exuberant music created. He has been playing harmonica for 13 years and rhythm guitar for the past 5. The word "BelleVegas" was developed in their hometown, Belleville, IL to give locals a nice way of looking at their slightly mundane town. They are currently working on a third CD with Egyptian Studios and hope to have it released sometime in 2007. The music produced is joyful while attempting to portray the celebration of life with positive lyrics and high energy jam sessions. Enjoy the Show!
