Bio
belleville’s refreshing blend of alternative music, combining catchy tunes and haunting vocals, is currently making a name for the female-fronted band who hail from Canterbury, Kent. The band have performed their atmospheric, indie numbers at top music venues and have made appearances at festivals such as Lounge on the Farm, Greenbelt and most recently secured a highly sought-after support slot for Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. belleville have self-released two EP’s and their radio-friendly single ‘For You (Forever Young)’ has been remixed by producers and DJs, making the band a hit with dubstep fans. With influences ranging from Sigur Ros, to Editors, to Beth Orton and a live sound that has been compared to Bat for Lashes and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, belleville create a unique and addictive sound that is not to be missed. "Belleville might just provide the massive lightning bolt needed to revitalise a bland and saturated music industry." Alter the Press! “A blend of folky-indie-goodnes...we certainly think this band is one to watch.” Musicovered “Belleville have the potential for massive cross-over appeal...their future is surely bright.” Aim Low Press -
