About me: Educating, engaging, and empowering local citizens since 1999! The Bellingham Human Rights Film Festival, sponsored in part by the Whatcom Human Rights Task Force, brings timely human rights issues to our community with films from around the world. Our dedicated sponsors and volunteers participate each year in an effort to link the Western Washington University campus and the greater Whatcom County community together in solidarity on global issues and human rights concerns. Planning is currently underway for our 8th annual festival, scheduled for February 21 - March 1, 2008 at the Pickford Cinema and Fairhaven College.
You can learn more about the film festival and other human rights events in Whatcom County by visiting the Whatcom Human Rights Task Force website at www.whrtf.org
Who I'd like to meet: filmmakers, activists, human rights advocates, community organizers, volunteers, students, teachers, human rights organizations, human rights film festivals, socially conscious businesses, global citizens!
