"Dark-yet-uplifting atmosphere and intensity" - Tord Gustavsen
"At their best there is something of John Barry about their work, albeit John Barry for the dubstep age. Indeed the gig as a whole was akin to a soundtrack in search of a film… They're a band whose debut album should be eagerly anticipated" - theartsdesk.com
"Marvellous. Beautiful compositions that breathe in and out with understanding" - Billy Jenkins
“A really good way of playing music that has simplicity but isn’t predictable. They are always were finding new ways to approach their instruments and their music” - Seb Rochford
"Broodingly dark with more than a hint of menace at times, it's cinematic in that you could well imagine it playing behind film footage of the mentally ill - but then all of a sudden you're hit with the realisation that you are witnessing true beauty" - Source magazine
"Like the soundtrack to a David Lynch film based in Europe rather than the American south" - Brighton Music Scene
Bellows are a motley crew - not Crüe - led by pianist Richard Brincklow and influenced by everyone from Krzysztof Komeda and EST to Robert Fripp and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Among those with whom we have shared stages are Fever Ray, Led Bib, The Invisible, Neil Cowley Trio, Get The Blessing, Polar Bear, Wild Beasts, Telepathe, Crackle, Reigns and Chrome Hoof. We have performed at venues from The Vortex and Cargo to the National Portrait Gallery and the Queen Elizabeth Hall - alright, the foyer - as well as festivals including Loop (Squarepusher, Mira Calix, Portico Quartet).
