First off, we are NOT a band!
We are BELLYACHE RECORDS, a division of THE BELLYACHE CANDY SHOPPE! We release CD's & 7" Singles from Michigan Based bands. In May of 2006, we released our first compilation CD, "The Sweet Sounds Of Detroit Volume 1" which had proven to be a great success for us. Soon after in September, we released a CD Single from GRANDE NATIONALS for the track "Kill The Lights" with the Non-LP Track "Us Against Them" on the b-side. We topped off the year with the debut full length from the Grande Nationals entitled "Brass Knuckle Heartbreak".
In October of 2007 we took on the massive undertaking of releasing a 2 CD Halloween compilation, "GHOUL'S DELIGHT! A MONSTER PARTY RECORD!" which featured 33 newly penned Halloween tunes by some of Detroit's finest like THE HENTCHMEN, FORTUNE & MALTESE, THE DEWTONS, SERENITY COURT, EONS, THE KOFFIN KATS, THE BEGGARS and MANY MORE!
In 2008, we just released a European Tour 7 Inch Single for the GORE GORE GIRLS. The debut EP from SCARLET OAKS, 7 inch singles from THE GO, THE HENTCHMEN, THE MULDOONS, THE DIAL TONES, THE MUGGS, SISTERS LUCAS, GRANDE NATIONALS and Double LP Alternate Version of "Howl On The Hauted Beat You Ride" by THE GO, titled "Tracking The Trail Of The Haunted Beat".
2009 is here and we are just around the corner from our 15th release, "Canadian Dew" by SCARLET OAKS! Plus, on the way are new EP's & Singles from SWAMP SISTERS, THE DIAL TONES & THE HENTCHMEN. "THE SWEET SOUNDS OF DETROIT VOLUME TWO", will finally be making it's way to your turntables, CD players & I-Pods this fall, too!
