Belly Boat was born in Santa Cruz, CA in 2004 to Silvie Margot Deutsch & Zoe Ruth Cusmus Latta.

RELEASES:

"Dear Robert Hanoy" in a full length LP (14 tracks-CDR). It was released on 2/14/2007 as the the 69th release of off Not Not Fun Records. You can buy it there

It's been reviewed on Foxy Digitalis , Wire Magazine and probably elsewhere too. Its bomb check it out
, "No Balloons" is an EP, it no longer is being produced (8 Tracks-CDR).

"Live in a House Built By Carpenters" is a live 5-song CDR that was recorded by Greg Barton at a small concert in Providence, October 2005. it is not available any more.

the track "Give me a Pot to Piss in and I'll Give You Something to Drink" was released on a split 7" record with 3 other unreleased songs by Sneakypines, Thanksgiving and Phil Elverum (Mt. Eerie/the Microphones).
it is available at the Stop Drop Records website or the PW Elverum & Sun, LTD. website.

the track "Little Racoon" was released on a double cassette mixed tape titled "Tapeworms Eat Bookworms" off of Not Not Fun Records.
a track that is currently untitled will be released on a compolation that is being put out byUncommon Folk and Home Tapes. there are 23 contributors on this tape inclubing: The Finches, Akron/Family, Spenking, the Dirty Projectors, Whitman , the Viking Moses, Devendra Banhart and Little Wings.

"Little" will be released in the first issue of a "compilation tape zine" made by a boy named jonah, including other home recordists such as Karl Blau, Nate Ashley, The Gift Machine, Little Wings. It should be out later in the year.

VIDEOS

An alternate recording of the song "give me a pot to piss in and i'll give you something to drink" was made into a music video by Jesse Hicks and Gina Levy. You may SEE IT HERE!
A modified version of the track "No Balloons" was used for a Volcom Clothing Commercial. the Film was designed by Mike Aho of Sounder. you may see it here
We are so lucky because a Brazilain boy named Fernando Nogari just made us a gorgeous music video for "City" and you should watch it here or here if the other one doesn't work.
