There is only one way to describe singer/songwriter Ben Jordan: journeyman. For the last 13 years Ben has traveled the country listening, learning & playing. His voyage has taken him to several of the country's musical hot beds (including New York City, Nashville, New Orleans, San Francisco, & both Denver & Boulder, CO) where he had the privilege of befriending some rising stars, and established vets, including Derek Trucks, members of The String Cheese Incident, The Slip, Warren Haynes, Kelly Joe Phelps, The Jazz Mandolin Project, Adam Levy (of Norah Jones' Handsome Band), and Brad Rice (Ryan Adams, Son Volt & Keith Urban).
The musical odyssey for this Denver, CO resident began at the age of four when his mother bought Ben a drum for his birthday. This innocent gift began a love affair with music whose fires seem to burn brighter within the songwriter every year. After years of drumming, Ben began studying piano & continued to play both instruments until the age of 18, when he decided to head to the National Guitar Summer Workshop. There he established friendships with Brad Barr (The Slip), Eric Krasno (Soulive), & Adam Levy (Norah Jones) that confirmed what Ben Jordan had always felt: he was born to play music.
A gifted instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter, Ben Jordan has recorded several solo albums and is currently working on a three E.P. project based on haiku, playing solo shows throughout the country and regional shows with his band The Heathens.
