I was born October 21, 1978 to Dr. George B Bannister and his wife, Lisa, who began teaching me God's word as soon as I came into the world. I cannot remember a Sunday that I was not in church or a year that I did not attend Vaction Bible School, but like all people I was lost and needed a savior. This was something that I came to realize shortly after my sixth birthday. I can remember sitting with Daddy in our kitchen that night when I asked him what it meant to be a Christian. He then shared God's plan of salvation with me and I prayed to recieve Christ as savior. I also remember walking the isle at Linier Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA and following the Lord in believer's baptism less than a week later. I would like to say that after that I have always followed Christ and been close to him, but that is not the case. During my later childhood and early teenage years, I would allow many of the negative things that I saw in God's church to make me bitter and angry. In fact, I once swore to myself that I would quit going to church when I got out of my father's house, but God had other plans. He used the testimony of my parents and the Christian atmosphere at Liberty University to bring me back into focus and show that I was wrong for being bitter at these people. He also used both of these influences to reaffirm the call that He had given me at age sixteen to be a full time evangelist, and use my musical abilities and preaching gifts to share His truth and love with others.
