Current Projects: At the moment I'm playing part time in a couple of bands, the Jazz band High Jingo and Ipso-Facto playing a selection of jazz and funk covering music by the Crusaders, Grover Washington and George Benson to more obscure bands such as Stuff; and been dep'ing for Cover Girl and Up the Function.
I enjoy a wide range of music. Starting out on guitar I was in to the usual suspects, ACDC, Led Zepplin, Santana, Bad Company, Nirvana and all of the Indie bands of the day - the list goes on and on! Working in the studio introduced me to a lots of styles I was previously unfamiliar with including the different styles of dance and electronic music. Whilst studying for a BA in music at the University of Birmingham I began listening to a variety of classical music as well as getting into experimental forms in particular minimalism and the music of John Cage. Recently I've been playing more jazz and acoustic styles.
I've used MySpace as a kind of on-line CV as well a chance to share my musical interests with people. I hope you find it interesting, please get in touch if you're interested in any collaborations. Cheers!
