The harsh reality is that in 2010, there is little in Christian music to offer to offer to fans of male- driven Pop Music (Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Michael Jackson).
Which is perfect timing for the arrival of BEN CLARK.
Upon his return from an ---- month pilgrimage to California, Ben Clark followed his passion - writing music that reflects his love and faith in Jesus. Ben has honed his skills as a member of his church worship team, and came back to Ontario to begin crafting his self-titled debut album, a collaboration with esteemed producer and friend Bori Afolabi of Farsight Entertainment.
Ben is a prolific singer/songwriter that has shared the stage with international acts, including Starfield, Phil Wickham and Carried Away.
Ben’s first song recorded with Bori was "I Run" which went on to having radio air time in Canada. He also had a music video made for this song which was orchestrated by friend, movie producer/director David Ross.
Once the album was finished being recorded and produced at A+Productionz, it was taken over to Canton Michigan to be mixed and mastered at Pearl Studios by Chuck Alzakian. Chuck has worked with artists such as, Michael W. Smith, Elton John, Christina Aguilera and many more. Pearl studios is world renowned, having artists such as Madonna record there. Ben found this a huge blessing to have the opportunity to work here.
In 2010, Ben is partnering with David C. Cook Distribution Canada to release “BEN CLARK”, a collection of pure pop/dance music, featuring the first singles “Woo Hoo” and “I Run”.
As a bonus, “BEN CLARK” also includes exclusive remixes by Jeff Frankenstein of the Newsboys.
Ben was recently chosen by Grace FM (London, ON) to represent Southwestern Ontario in the Cross Canada Talent Search in Calgary, Alberta. Upon arriving in Calgary, “Woo Hoo” was honoured as the “Top Song of 2009” by the Gospel Music Association Canada. “We’re excited that both listeners and judges continue to support Ben Clark. He’s building a rabid, massive fan base, and it’s nice to know that he’s gaining fans in London, Toronto, Calgary, Nashville and beyond”, says Ryan T. Richardson, Ripple Management.
Videos for both “Woo Hoo” and “I Run” were produced by Motion City Studios and are available on YouTube, receiving over 5,000 views in less than six months!
