When house music got under the skin of Ben Colman, back in the early 90's, he longed to get into the DJing side of things, going to clubs such as Hard Times (Bel Air), Love to Be (Sheffield), Southport Weekender and Back to Basics (Leeds). Here he found the true music and this is when things began to happen for him.
Twelve years on and Ben has played up and down the country, forfilling his dream to play this style of music. Going to watch DJ's like Todd Terry,Roger Sanchez, Frankie Knuckles and Graeme Park, to name but a few. These pioneers were the influences of his DJing career.
Ben has played and held residencies at clubs such as Turnmills (London), Passion (Coalville), Foundation (Wakefeild), Deja Vu (Hull), Cool Cuts SoundSystem (Bridlington) and promoted his own nights in Bridlington.
Now proud founder of the "All Funked Up Sessions", Ben is bringing house music sounds to the internet. His weekley radio show can be found on www.ssradiouk.com, sundays 4-6pm u.k time, with guest mixes from world class DJ's from all around the globe, bringing you nothing but proper house music! He also holds a monthly residency for Shameless Sessions on SS Radio.
Ben is hoping to progress and build on the already successful "All Funked Up Sessions", by bringing you his original club nights in the Yorkshire area.
