The Bendy Pastorius Group came to fruition in July of 2007. The Pastorius brothers, Julius and Felix (twin sons of musical legend Jaco Pastorius), called John and Mike Bendy in New York and asked them to join musical forces for Vinalhaven, Maine's fabled annual Pirate Party. This gig was a precursor to their first official gig which was opening up for Oteil Burbridge and the Peacemakers at The Big Easy in Portland, Maine. Julius Pastorius, Mike Bendy, and John Bendy have continued spreading their gospel of funk, punk jazz, rock, and blues across the states enlightening the masses with their tight musical unit which can only be described as a Modern Electric Trio.
