Benedicte Brænden started her musical career in a rock band at age of thirteen. Two years later she has been the lead singer of the female rock band "Bazooka Boppers", which norwegian media called a crossover between Thin Lizzy and Chuck Berry. Her stage appearance is very special because of it's unique blend of energy and finesse. In 2005 she decided to go solo, but this time turning towards alternative country. In this setting she has shown good song writing abilities and developed a remarkable originality, still paired with her mentioned energy and extrovert appearance. In spring 2007, she toured in Europe with the legendary band "Tito & Tarantula", known for writing and acting in Quentin Tarantinos "From Dusk Till Dawn", " Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and "Desperado". Fall 2007, Benedicte was one of six artists featured in NRK's Saturday prime time show "Lyden av lørdag". In 2008 she was touring all over Europe with the german rock/ country band "The Boss Hoss" and performed in the biggest halls and venues in front of over 70.000 people in total. After this success Benedicte Brænden played several country/ rock festivals in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France. Spring 2009 she started touring on her own. An intimate and very personal show with her guitar, her amazing voice and her songs. These experiences inspired Bendicte to write new material. She recorded several songs with norwegian songwriter Martin Hagfors before she needed to take a break in the year 2010 to become a proud mother. -
