About me: This is the part where I tell you about myself....well it all started in the early 90's when I was given a mix tape to listen to, it featured a early CARL COX mix and totally blew me away! - this got me into being a dj and I started to purchase records. As my collection grew I needed something more, So i saved hard and bought some decks and cheap mixer. After much practice I started making my own mix tapes which I distributed amongst friends and local record shops. This brought me bookings from local events, and with it the confidence to play live and connect with the crowd. In late 1997 I won the HELTER SKELTER BREAKING NEW TALENT competition and played at the Sanctuary in Milton Keynes. Although I was offered a lot of work on the back of this performance the hardcore scene was changing and so was I. I decided to take a beak from all things music related for a while, managed to get a proper job and saved for a while not knowing what I wanted. After a short time I had decided to travel with my mates and ended up going to AUSTRALIA for 12 months. It was there that I discovered dance music again, not in hardcore form but in a certain dj called SASHA. I had seen him live in Sydney and this had taken me back to the memory of that first mix tape I had heard. This was it, so when I returned I decided to blow the dust off my records and started mixing again! - this time with trance and euphoric progressive house. In late 2006 / early 2007 after being very settled with my current girlfriend and getting a house and car together I decided to take things to another level with my mixing and to try and step up to the challenge of being a successful dj. So fasten your seat belts and welcome aboard the BEN FUSION experience! In my BLOG there will be monthly mixes posted for you to download for FREE featuring the best and most upfront tunes around that month. Also stay tuned for more surprises including a special BIRTHDAY MIX which will be a bit different but I still hope you will enjoy.
