Bengalack is a substance used for painting boats. It keeps them fresh, and protects them from the aggressive salt.
However, Bengalack is also a smashing band from Liverpool. Formed in 2004, and covering nationalities from Gambia, Bosnia, Germany and Norway (featuring musicians also cover Sweden, Iran and England).
The bands line up is not traditional – but neither is the music. Sondre on bass, Nils on the guitar, synths and effects, Daniel plays synths and Goran does synths, guitar and programming. We started of with the vision of having fun, and experimenting with sounds, fusing the electronic and “traditional”.
Having done a few gigs in Liverpool and recorded an EP, the band is currently working on a new EP. After all – in this kind of band – we enjoy the production as much as the performing.
