Music. Piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums, harmonica, ukulele, violin, mini sitar, lap harp, synthesizer, singing. Arranging, composing, and writing music.
Writing: screenplays, teleplays, stories, poems, novels, essays, and papers. I'm a published poet (several times). Currently working on a second teleplay for "House, MD," as well as a novel.
Medicine. I read anatomy books and medical journals/articles for fun. But that may be a sort of masochistic behaviour.
Pencil drawing (I used to be a professional artist)
Stage and film acting.
Vicodin.
Cool canes.
Motorcycles.
Sudoku
Rowing
Appreciation of all things.
Astronomy. Here's a picture I took of the moon, through my telescope:
I believe that all pure things are connected. All art, instinct, emotion, sexuality, passion, energy; they're all connected. This is why music can cause such a broad range of emotion. Music brings out the animal in me. Whatever my deepest emotions are at that moment are brought out in the song. To me, music is an instinct. All artists are gods in the sense that we create something new, powerful, and beautiful.
Oh, and I like toast.
Music
I've been recording an album during the last five years. If you'd like to hear some audio clips, go to my website at http://www.abraxas.50megs.com

The Brian May Band,
Freddie Mercury (RIP 1991),
Aerosmith,
Pink Floyd,

Symphony X,
Def Leppard,
Styx,

Cozy Powell (RIP 1998), The Who, AC/DC, John Mellencamp, the Eagles, Elton John, Bad Company, Trans- Siberian Orchestra, Black Sabbath, REO Speedwagon, Van Halen,
Etc., etc., etc... I like Classic Rock. Get it? Also, John Coltrane, My Chemical Romance, Mika, Mr. Mister, the Jackson Five, Cab Calloway, Fallout Boy, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis, and all that cool junk. I've got a pretty eclectic music selection, with everything from death metal to classical.
Movies
I don't like films; I like actors. Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Anthony Hopkins, Christian Bale, David Bowie, Rowan Atkinson, and Emma Thompson.
Would you look at that; they're all British.
Television
I adore 'House, MD.'
I am also a big fan of 'Jeeves and Wooster,' 'Blackadder,' and 'A Bit of Fry and Laurie.' And 'QI.'
The Riches (how can one not love Eddie Izzard?)
I also like Roseanne.

About me: I like blue eyes and toussled hair and tea and motorcycles and getting to know people. I like to know everything about people.
I'm afraid of new things and new people and new situations and new places and public toilets and showers in hotel rooms and swimming pools where I can see the bottom. I try not to let my fear control me, but sometimes it does. Having other people there with me, people who aren't afraid, helps.
I am not afraid of the ocean or what's in it.
I seek knowledge and rely on it. It is the only constant. The truth is pretty, but as Francis Bacon said, 'there is no excellent beauty, that hath not some strangeness in the proportion.' He was named after bits of a pig.
I support stem cell research 100%, no question about it.
I want to be a doctor.
I am a musician.
I want to cuddle with you and stare up at the stars on warm, clear nights until dew gathers on our eyebrows.
I find eyebrows to be amusing.
I think David Bowie is beautiful.
I think a sentence without a semicolon is like sex without an orgasm: just about pointless.
I smoke cigarettes because I like to watch the smoke patterns; especially in the dark. It's comforting. So is the nicotine.
You can disregard most of what I say; it's probably complete rubbish.
When I was a baby, and had just started eating meat, I would keep the meat in my mouth for hours after each meal. I wonder what that means.
I've been playing piano since before I learnt to read; I learnt to read when I was three.
Who I'd like to meet: I want to meet nice, nondiscriminating, open-minded people who like to talk about things that don't matter.

We'll be getting in late Friday night. I won't be able to leave early from work, so pretty much hopefully shortly after I pick up the kids. I'm hoping to have everything ready so that when I do pick them up we can just head out of town. Here's hoping =)
