Benjamin Edwards has been a professional musician specializing in the performance and teaching of the harmonica and percussion for the last eight years.
Benjamin studied music at Brunel University gaining a music diploma and a 2:1 BA Hons degree in Popular Music. He studied harmonica (the first in Brunel’s history) under the guidance of Brendan Power. Benjamin has been involved for 4 years with Live Music Now! and won a Youth Music award for his performance and education work with the project ‘Klektivo’ at the Vinny Green Secure Unit, Bristol.
Benjamin studied West African percussion in Mali, France and London and has worked with Burkina Faso griot Baba Kone in his band ‘Jeli Masa’ for 3 years. Living in London, Benjamin continues to work as a session harmonicist for record labels, radio and TV work.
Recent tours include supporting Peter Gabriel (Real World Records) and Tom Baxter (EMI) with Charlie Winston (Real World Records, Atmospherique.

Les Quadrimusicales ont pour ambition de promouvoir des groupes ou des artistes issus de la scène musicale régionale. Le public est convié à 4 soirées, dédiées chacune à un style musical particulier, pour découvrir un groupe, sa musique et son univers. Chaque Quadrimusicale allie concert et temps d’échange avec le public, afin d’en faire un rendez-vous placé sous le signe de la convivialité, de l’échange et du partage.

Hi Ben, It was totally AMAZING! A deeply and tremendous thank you for these 2 evenings of happiness @ Olympia. I will never forget these incredible concerts, the last one was my fav :) It is always a pleasure to meet you, you are a gentleman. I guess I will maybe see you hopefully in London for the Hoax gig (on 3rd January 2010 in Camden, bring your harmonica for a big jam session with Hugh!). Depuis quelques mois, Ëko ne cesse de se forger sur la scène régionale. De sa musique se dégage une bonne humeur qui laisse à chacun le souvenir d'un moment chaleureux partagé. Le duo se confine dans univers musical minimaliste combinant voix éraillée, guitare sèche et percussions. Blues, soul, folk et musique roots se mêlent pour nous rappeler leurs mentors que sont Ben Harper, Tété ou encore Bob Marley. Une découverte à suivre...
