About me: mainly I play the trombone. i've played with lots of great people and made some recordings. my main groups currently are sufjan stevens, the national and companion star: for the living and the dead, although I work with lots of other folks as well. as well, i have been known to have people write me solo and small ensemble pieces, which has led to truly exciting music for the trombone and welcome additions to the instrument's literature.
Good good good good! We made pancakes today, it was deliciousness, this is officially the world pancake tour, 2007. I like it here A LOT, but I need some more cheese soon. See you in a wee bit, he he he!
yep. i am a card carrying member of facebook and myspace. granted, i'm pretty lame when it comes to both. facebook has more bells and whistles, but you have to actually be friends with someone to view their profile. with myspace, my very few 'friends' are strategically connected to 432 others whom i'm interested in keeping up with. no trips here for a while, all local concerts in nov. (8, 11, 12, 15, 29) and early dec. (1, 4, 5, 7). phew, i'm tired just looking at that. hope you're having a blast in new york.
just noticed that you were online and thought i'd say hey. i was in WH this weekend celebrating my grandfather's 90th bday and sadly missed alan and vicky because they were in new hampshire hiking. they sent some very cute pics. vicky said how happy they were to see you last weekend and like a proud mother sent your link for your upcoming concerts. i hope they all go well! take care.
hey! things here are great. too busy, but great. hugo heads back to switzerland on wednesday to premier a viola concerto and i'll be going to north carolina at the end of the week. how long will you be in nyc? i'll be there at the end of the month. safe travels... chrissy
1. Buy Old Stock: Last season's stock was good enough a few months ago and there's no reason why they won't be good enough now. 2. Shop Around: Definitely shop around before you intend on making a purchase. 3. Buy a Spanish Hanger: Spanish Hangers are all out of style. They were the biggest kite package in the 1970s. Now nobody buys them, so they are really cheap. 4. Harness the power of positive thought: Without positive thought, nothing can be accomplished, positively. Not even kite purchases. Do, think, live! 5. Reconvene frequently: By reconvening frequently you get more money when selling your second hand equipment. 6. Buy foreign brands: Be wary of buying brands that are from the United States. Foreign equipment is the best! and cheapest! 7. Left Hand gear: The best way to save money is to buy left-handed kites. There are less people who are left-handed. So their kites are cheaper. 8. Become a customer of God: Support your local God, be it El, or Yahweh, or Erebus, or Baal. Gods are way better than humans. 9. Only buy what you need: The best way to save money is not to buy at all. 10. Try before you buy: The easiest way to throw money into the water is by buying the wrong equipment. You can find the best deal on the planet, but if you bought the wrong equipment you are wasting money. Make sure you try before you buy. Once you know what you want, use these tips to get the best deals.
Yeah, I got nuttin' (as is the custom of the time). The only thing that I can think of offhand is the Berio "Sequenza" which you know. Try Christian lindberg. Perhaps I'll make something in the next year if I can finish this damn dissertation. How do you feel about sine tones?
