Ben Jammin'® is a unique artist that will adopt any style of music to capitalize on the potential for musical expression without limitations.
About the music:
Ben's Groove Just a straight ahead instrumental rocker with a bluesy feel. Although blues influence seems to have all but vanished from popular music virtually all vernacular music in American culture has a root in the blues and I find myself gravitating towards the roots quite often.
Lament A simple laid back instrumental. The basic idea for this came about when my mother passed away a few years back.
Sevilla Famous piano piece from Isaac Albeniz's Suite Espanola, arranged for guitar by me, based on the work of Fransisco Tarrega. Recorded live in concert.
Grande Overture, Opus 61 From the great Italian classical guitar virtuoso Mauro Guiliani, who was a compatriot of Beethoven and Rossini in early ninteenth century Vienna. Consists of an introduction marked Andante sostenuto in French overture style, followed by Allegro maestoso in sonata form. Recorded live in concert.
Bob Dylan, in Martin Scorsese's biographical film documentary "No Direction Home", expressed that he disdained the thought of music relating to something as trivial as politics. Let's just say that to this observer hatred and excessive greed do not seem to bring out the most productive aspects of human civilization.
