BENJ aka Ben Acott is responsible for some seriously fat, rich bass heavy DJ sets and now his own killer productions!
He comes from a life of music, starting out with his first drum kit by aged 8, by 13 BENJ was actively gigging around his home town of Adelaide on a regular basis with band Vendetta.
Electronic music and the culture had always fascinated Ben and so the drum kit was sold to make way for DJ equipment and a basic production setup.
BENJ's DJ career in took off at an incredible rate under his SLIDE moniker - picking up residencies @ peak time in Adelaide's biggest clubs across 4 nights and soon after began promoting his own shows featuring some of Australia and the worlds biggest acts.
In this time, ben was nominated for Best Up & Comer in the SA Dance Music Awards & interstate bookings saw him as a respected selector on the Australian circuit.
He co-hosted a trance based radio show on FreshFM, was guest selector on a range of different radio shows and saw many regular trips made across the border to display his high energy and passion behind the decks.
BENJ's versatility and wide spread passion for dance music sees his DJ sets vary depending on his surroundings, deep techno, trance and jackin house feature very heavily in his arsenal of tricks.
Now based in Melbourne, Australia, Ben is focusing on the production of fat, bass & beat heavy techno and trance with the goal to develop his own natural sound to help shape his style..
