With almost two decades of performing, Benji Bohannon is a very diverse musician. Born and raised in Western Kentucky, began studying drums under the instruction of Charles "Chuck" Simons. In 2001 Benji moved to the Pacific Northwest and in 2003 settled in Vancouver to study music at VCC. From there he has worked with several groups, some of which include: Brias Hot 5, Blackstick, The Big Bang Jazz band, The Climax Jazz band, Headwater, The Catt Pack, and many others. Benji has performed many jazz Festivals including the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, Sun Valley Jazz Jamboree, and the Arizona Classic Jazz Festival as well as various festivals in North America and Europe.
