They've called us a Rock Band. They've called us a Southern Rock band. They've called us a jam band. They've called us a roots band. Hell, they've even called us a metal band!! I don't like to put a label on what we do, but Southern Death Pop covers most all of it rolled into one big rolling ball of feedback and glorious sonic delights!!! There's only one thing you can definitely call us and that's BENJ-O-MATIC!!! My name is Benjy. I sing and play guitar/electric dobro. Scotty is my drummer. He's a human freak. He has a solo show called Clang Quartet that will blow your mind. His myspace page is listed in our friends section. Go see it!!!! NOW!!! Jeff is my bass player. He has vibe oozing from him and does a mean robot. We're a power trio from the south, so I guess that's where the Southern thing comes from. I sing with my normal North Carolina accent, so I guess that helps too. Why should I try to sound like I'm from anywhere else?? With drums, bass, electric guitar, electric dobro and armed with clever, hooky, grooving songs...we blow the damn house down!! Every night. No questions. Period. Who do we sound like????
