Kent based Ben Mills shot to fame after coming third on series three of the X Factor in 2006. His success on this show resulted in a recording contract with SonyBMG and the subsequent release of his debut album, Picture Of You, in March 2007.
Since then Ben has travelled the length and breadth of the country, appearing at a range of venues to rave reviews. His natural talent for performing live, coupled with the reputation he has for always giving time to his fans, is securing him a very strong following.
As well as being an accomplished musician, playing both the guitar and piano, Ben is also an extremely talented songwriter. Over the past year he has dedicated time to writing and recording material for his second album and previews of some of these new songs can be found in his Music Player.

Ben, have been a fan since watching you on the X-factor (is it that long ago?!!). I am in the studio currently recording my first song and you have provided me with inspiration to do so. Not just with your style and sound (which I love, BTW), but by just proving to me that you CAN do it! Thanks for the inspiration, dude! Shaun (shaunyrockman@myspace.com). Hi Ben and friends hope you are well. Why am I here? Well I have a guilty pleasure, it is the music of Justin Currie and Del Amitri. Like Mr Mills their music was never truly main stream, Roll To Me was huge in America, Nothing Ever Happens is a great song and was top ten here but they and Justin just didn't recieve the recognition they deserved. I though am happy to have a collection of 100 or so songs on my I pod that few have had the pleasure of listening to. I recommend them to you all. Where does Ben fit into this? Well like millions of us I was enthralled by his story, captivated by his voice and interested in what happened next. He was my first thought when I decided to put together a script for a musical using the songs of Del Amitri "Jimmy Blue". I am a 44 year old father of 4 and an amateur but I thought Bens fans (and maybe Ben) would enjoy reading the script with the original Del Amitri songs and imagine Ben as "Jimmy". Type "Jimmy Blue a musical" into Google and follow the links. Thanks for listening Dave Ross
