Songwriter/Singer (versus Singer/Songwriter) Ben Minnotte has been quietly lurking in the shadows of the Denver music scene for a few years now. At any given time, Ben can be seen acting as a crew member for a Denver area staging company, occasionally working in the recording studio and until recently, partaking in the University of Colorado at Denver Music Industry Studies program (he was forced out in 2008 due to graduation). Through it all, he’s been the silent observer of our little end of the music world and has done so with a keen eye and a dry sense of humor. Rarely photographed, Ben has built an air of mystery around himself that the music world has seen little of in recent years. Despite this (or perhaps, because of this), he has still managed to build up a small, but loyal cult following.
Ben is currently at work on a new album. This upcoming LP (entitled “Minn-Knot”) is expected to be released in the Fall of 2009.
