Bennett Wood has been playing professionally ever since moving to St. Louis from his hometown of Hannibal, Missouri in 2003. In addition to his own projects, he has performed with Reggie Thomas, Rick Haydon, The St. Louis Jazz Orchestra, John Hartman, J-Rob, Downtime, So Many Dynamos, and Kentucky Knife Fight to name a few. Wood has performed at venues all over and around the city, including: The Sheldon Concert Hall, Jazz at the Bistro, Erato St. Louis, The Clayton Art Fair, The Midwest Salute to the Masters and the prestigious Stagger Inn...Again in Edwardsville, IL. Most recently, Bennett was honored to be selected to perform alongside St. Louis legend Willie Akins and internationally acclaimed saxophonist Greg Osby at Jazz at the Bistro as a part of Osby's "St. Louis Shoes", recognizing up and coming saxophonists in St. Louis.
Myspace is like, 10% as distracting...plus a myspace music account could possibly be used for something productive, I guess. Networking or something like that.
I might try and make the Jan. 30th show at the Bistro. We'll be in touch.
Yes. This is a good idea. Although, I'd hate to be embarrassed ;-). I've always wanted to do the 2 tenor thing, but it would be too hard to find the venue.
