A new record of nine original songs entitled 'Le Nose' is available digitally through Sonic Unyon, Zunior, and iTunes! There are also two independently made music videos for the album created by Charles Jannasch, Siloen Daley, and Mike Fox posted in the 'Videos' section. Gooseberry Records released 'Le Nose' in 2009.
Benn's music is played on C.B.C, local commercial rock radio, and national community radio.
The drummer has quietly/locally released four e.p's in '05/'06. They are, "benn ross I", "benn ross II", "benn ross III" and "benn ross IIII". There is also an older e.p of tunes called, "me me me" from '97 - a folkish guitar/voice bedroom recording.
The e.p's (music and graphics) are also available online at www.zunior.com
The music Benn is currently making is atmospheric, soundscape-like pop/folk with a mix of simple repetitive themes, inexpensive electro, and experimental music.
"Benn Ross and The Fabulous Band" (when active) take the songs from the recordings and creatively re-arrange them to be stage friendly for a four piece band consisting of drums, bass, keys, and vocals.
Benn is busy creating soundtrack material, teaching drum set and playing drums/percussion for heavy meadows, Amelia Curran, Erin Costelo and various other local groups in Halifax for either studio gigs or live shows.
Mr. Ross has also received grants for Song Development and private drum set studies.
