.. Benoit Martiny Band Formed in 2004 the Benoit Martiny Band's roots are in the dusty garage of its leader's house, in the small luxemburgish village of Rameldange. In this place, that still frequently hosts the band's rehearsal, through the years drummer Benoit Martiny developed with his bandmates an original musical style, that draws its identity from the composite background of the musicians, ranging from jazz and blues to garage rock, trash, experimental noise. The band released "Jazz goes Garage" in 2005, their first album, and only in 2008 they released a second one which was recorded in Brussels, and was simply called "Benoit Martiny Band".In the same year they also won the 1st prize of the 2008 Amersfoort Jazz Talent Award! BMB has been performing in many different venues all over Europe(:Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, Hungary, Austria, The Netherlands, France, Belgium...) Paradox/Tilburg(NL)-Il Contestaccio/Rome(IT)-Farfulla/Rome(IT)-Theatre Marni/Brussels(BE)-Jazzwerk/Ulm (D),White Elephant/Rotterdam(NL)-Why Not/Dudelange(LU)-Cite Universitaire/Paris(FR)-Liquid/Luxembourg(LU)- d:qliq/Luxembourg(LU)-Zomerfeest-Limburg forest(BE)-Kavka/Antwerpen(BE) Abbaye Neumuenster-Luxembourg(LU)-De Doelen/Rotterdam(NL) Ancien Cinema/Vianden(LU)-Scheldejazz/Terneuzen(NL)-Kulturhaus/Niederanven(LU) Bluesexpress Festival/Differdange(LU)-Senhor do Bonfim/Nervi(IT)-JazzLand/Nagykanizsa(HU) In february 2010 BMB went to record their newest work, "Isolation Nation", which is an album consisting of a cd and a 7 inch vinyl . The song "Seriously Damaged" is featured on the "EUROPAVOX" May 2009 CD-Compilation and on the "Rock for Life" Quickstar Productions CD-Compilation. Bandmembers: Benoit Martiny: Born in 1980 in Luxembourg,Benoit Martiny plays the drums and is the Boss of the Band. Sandor Kem: The Hungarian master not only plays, but beats and bows his doublebass. Frank Gones: The man from Mars grows up with the sounds of Grunge and makes sure to use the distortion. Jasper Van Damme: Jazzper is born in 1986 which makes him the youngest and hippest bandmember. Joao Driessen, born in Holland raised in London, he blows a horn of universal greatness. and yeah, don t forget to not be a crook and call Martiny to book:-)!
