BONUSROUND 04: BEN PEST - GLITTERATI FASHOINISTA is OUT NOW!!
Its always been about music, as a nipper I tried various instruments but landed on the Keyboard. My interest in electronic music production began at school, which must have been one of the only at the time (circa 1989) to have an Atari running Cubase in their music dept. Wasn't much cop at sports so you can guess where I spent my lunchtimes! I eventually went on to study a Music Production in Newcastle, and have since worked variously as a sound engineer and as a music teacher fo money.
I've been rocking my Korg Electribe-based live techno show around, including a slammin' set at this years Glade festival ... Dj-ed variously, and gigged with my band Pest for the last 6 years and completed a handful of UK / Europian tours in both capacities.
Keyboard player and long-time collaborator with Pest (Ninja Tune) we are currently in development of their 3rd album, my other collaborative arm is Black 'E' - a truly LIVE 'techno' project with Cristian Vogel, we have released on both Sleep Debt and Seed Records, and established notoriety as exponents of jacking noise in the few shows we have done together....
