These are my original demos for some songs that are now part of the Yearbook Picture deal. if you're curious, i guess it's kinda cool to hear where the band has taken them.
I also put a recording my mom and uncle did in 1975. For her birthday last year i transferred all this stuff to CD and then made this particular song into a duet, where i sing the harmony in the chorus and the second verse. she sings better than i do.
The Rentals: The Last Little Life EP (all kinds of synths, guitar, trombone, harmony vocals, etc)
Yearbook Pictures S/T EP (writing, singing, guitar, cajoling, pacifying) Army of Freshmen: Above the Atmosphere (minimoog on "It Never Rains in Los Angeles) Kelly Dalton: Home (rhodes piano and vocals) Bloody Robots: Are We Not Robots (minimoog on "Introduction" and "Metal Unicorn") Ozma: Pasadena (trombone on "Lunch Break (cobra's theme)")
My old friends in Nerf Herder call me for shows every once in a while. It's great to play with people you like.
Well hey there Ben Pringle. All is well, though I am looking for more writing work; those jobs aren't recession proof. I'm also hoping to visit LA this year. Glee! How are you today?
That's hardcore for me to make an exception about FSU...my family raised me to hate them like an ancient ethnic enemy. But we can be bros (brahs). Everyone has been sending me messages that were at that show. How some Live Oak kids were making jax looking boring.
when I added you back in the day, I had no idea you were the Ben from my first show ever...Nerf Herder @ Jack Rabbits way back in fuckin 2002 or something. That is awesome, rock on...the music is actually a nice change of pace
The new song is super awesome. Really, I think it may be your finest work yet. I can't wait to hear more. I am excited for you and for the future of Yearbook Pictures. Much love from Orlando.
Dig that moog silent night. We're working on a drumless version of little drummer boy. It's turning out to be trickier than we'd planned.
We have a new song up and as a member of the club you're required to listen to it and leave nice comments. Sorry, rules is rules. Should've read the fine print before joining.
