Bentley Jones is pretty unique. At just 24 years old the artist / producer / composer / remixer has achieved what might be considered a lifetime's worth of achievements for others. Constantly striving to stand out from the crowd, he is the first ever British artist to have a major-label Japanese album after signing a deal with EMI Japan. He’s just released "TRANS//LATION" -- the most ambitious covers project to grace Japan -- and before it was even released it caused quite a stir within the industry. Ayumi Hamasaki contacted Bentley’s label personally to express her support and approval of his English reworking her song "Depend on you". Jeff Miyahara (writer and producer of the original "SUNAO NI NARETARA" performed by JUJU and Spontania) loved what Bentley had done to his song so much that he offered to work with Bentley on his follow-up album.
Jones’ version, titled "FINAL NIGHT", was released digitally as the first single from "TRANS//LATION" and his first ever artist release in Japan. It debuted on the Recohoku international chart at 7 before quickly rising to 5 establishing Bentley’s popularity in Japan.
Jones is currently working on the follow-up to "TRANS//LATION", which will be his first original artist album. In anticipation of its Japanese release he’s also teaming-up with some of the countries biggest stars including collaborating with Jeff Miyahara.
