Touring in support of his brand new, all original, fourteen-track album - Rich With Love - twenty six year old pianist, singer, and songwriter Ben Willmott is impressing listeners everywhere. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Willmott was classically trained at the prestigious Ithaca College School of Music in New York. While he was there, he honed his pop-rock sound, which is most commonly compared to that of Ben Folds, Billy Joel, and James Taylor, while playing at clubs and coffeehouses in the Finger Lakes region. Now based in Boston, since 2005, Willmott has been touring the Northeast both solo and with his trio, performing in venues including, but not limited to The Knitting Factory in New York, NY, Club Passim and TT The Bear’s in Cambridge, MA, Nectar’s in Burlington, VT, One Longfellow Square in Portland, MA and The Nines in Ithaca, NY. He has shared the stage with notable acts such as Tim Reynolds, The Del McCoury Band, and most recently Grammy Award winner Jesse Harris, who wrote the Norah Jones’ hit "Don’t Know Why." The Wheaton Wire in Norton, MA states, “he’s got that something special quality that sets him apart from other piano playing singer-songwriters.” The Bentley College Vanguard in Waltham, MA said that “when these songs start playing thousands of times a day on the radio, you’ll want to be the one to tell your friends you knew him first.” The Ithacan in Ithaca, NY simply describes his performances as “flawless.” No matter how it is put, one thing is clear: Ben Willmott is not an artist that you want to miss out on.
