ohhhhhh!!!!!!! i knew u were gonna shoot the fireworks. i like ur timing. i just found out the hard way how interesting fireworks can be. oh well shoot and learn. hehe. well hope u have a good weekend. take care ryan i'm not too sure when i'll be seeing you next. by the way i wanted to order a 20x30 pop out print. let me know the details later.

hoy Ryan,
Hope all has been well on the homefront, finally home for a month. I hear there were a few swells that came through, but nothing special. How have you been doin?

I'm actually back on it for the month of July...praying for swells...and then i'm heading to Indo with Willsy and Bitzer.

Still haven't gotten a chance to ride the new board, but i'm going to whenever there's waves other than sandys! haha.

Anywho, have a happy 4th and i hope some idiot doesn't walk in front of you for the firework show again at alamoana!

haha very funny. as u probably know shorebreak has been pretty junk. no waves, choke rocks, and stupid people. but it is better than being dry. have a happy 4th of july. good luck on shooting the fireworks. (i know ur gonna go!) i'm gonna try hawaii kai.

HDR...

Now I know why it caught my attention. I think I like the half ass HDR better than the full. Has that edge to it but not enough to make it look too fake. I'd like to mess around with that but I just dont have the time for photoshopping my pics. A few quick adjustments in iPhoto and then thats it for me.

Man, time has sure flown by since I got over here on Oahu. A year seemed to last so much longer back on Maui. All this fast pace city life mixed with school and work. I need to get back to my roots, and to Sandy's.

Half Point was probably ALL-TIME today. You probably got the wind on it. Luckly Riley took some time to video us for 45 minutes and mr.jonah romero edited it real quick. I would say i'm 80% back to surfing normal. But as you can see the competition is going to be STIFF and Real Exciting this year.

hehehehe aaron posted the pics of the table on my page. actually, it looked a lot more impressive in person.... but maybe thats just cus i was tired.

i brought the carve stik out of retirement and skated around kapiolani park today cus it was to shitty to surf. all im gonna say is THEY NEED TO REPAVE THE BIKE PATH. haha i do water sports for a reason.

What I love about the magazines, is that I find out about the shot when its published :D Hmmmm I wonder if this issue is going to make its way to the Hawaii stores? Last one I ordered was from ebodyboarding.

Any hoot, quick question. Might be a dumb one, however did your hearing come back 100%. Mine is like 90% I'm hoping its going to get better, but i'm afraid it will be like this forever.

hey ryan! so, i found a yellow flower today, and it works! you really can see teh reflection in my eye! it was really cool, i didnʻt think it would work! i donʻt knpw about reflecting the ocean though, thats a hard one for me to see if it works....anyways, hope your finding some good waves!

anytime ryan! don't give up riding. u have one of the best riding styles that i've seen. plus it's a different smile on your face. sorry i couldn't get a decent shot of you. i need to shoot water more and get better. well take care man i'll probably be out of the water for a little bit. if anything i'll shoot from land, but i doubt it'll ever get big enough to do that.

haha this might entertain you....

me and jason made a table today. pretty good, for two monkeys with a miter saw. it has a hole in the middle with a trash bag hanging under it for easy bottle disposal. haha a scott sakamoto idea, of course. i hope aaron posts the pictures he took. its actually quite impressive for a days work... haha more productive than half point looked.

the gallon of milk is very hard. i actually tried a few years back. i got about 3/4 of the way through and that was it. not a good idea though. wasn't feeling that great the rest of the night. i think scott could do it though. maybe i'll convince him. haha.

Yeah, every place has its shady people. I'm just thankful that it ended the way it did. Stuff like that doesn't happen all that often so its pretty cool to be the one involved. One of those stories I can tell kids when I get old...

Read about that "one special cloud" Ryan. I was thinking the very same as I was patiently waiting for a sunset shot first at Kaka'ako Park and then later by Magic Island. Moving didn't make a bit of a difference with that honker cloud in the way. Wishing you better luck tomorrow! P.S.

here's my late afternoon observation of sandy's yesterday: much cleaner than the morning, super crowded, gray to dark gray skies, about 2ft and not much bigger. there were a few good barrels to be had, but early on you had to share it with a couple other people. maybe i'll be able to get out again really soon and hopefully the swell hits.....hopefully
