The Berard Family Band is led by Grammy award nominee Al Berard. The band's repertoire ranges from Cajun, country and gospel, to R & B, soul, and rock-n-roll. At every performance an unmistakable blend of dynamic family harmonies, original material, and traditional South Louisiana folk roots can be heard.
Hello Al, Carlene, and family. Sorry I took so long to thanks for the add but I had dial-up and couldn't hardly download your page. I have wireless now, it's somewhat faster and easier to access your page.
Berards! I'm hauling a few Cali friends to Lafayette in May for Memorial Day weekend. Any chance you guys will be playing somewhere that I could get them to hear you??
Remember....the voting deadline for the FINAL BALLOT is quickly approaching!
If you haven't already voted, make sure you mail your ballot so it will be received by Deloitte & Touche by January 9, 2008.
Take some time to listen to all of the nominees. As you listen, you may want to take the following into account:
--musicianship - including vocals, arrangements, performance
--quality of recording and overall quality of the product
--what artist best represents Louisiana's Zydeco and Cajun music - i. e., is the best representation of their genre?
You still have time to review the work of all nominees. Be sure your ballot is RECEIVED by January 9, 2008.
And if you DO qualify for voting membership in NARAS but did NOT join this year, we urge you to JOIN so that you can vote next year. This is a specialized category, and we need the people who understand the music BEST to vote on it.
